E-Bike Tours

E-bikes (short for “electric” bikes) are a booming new technology that you may have seen zipping around the city streets in recent years. E-bikes are bikes that use an electric assist motor to help you pedal on the flat and fly up those steeper hills. They are a great option for touring and bar crawling as they let you decide how much effort you feel comfortable with and are suitable for people of any fitness level. At Asheville Adventure Company, we have a brand new fleet of 2019 Giant LaFree E-bikes that can travel up to 65 miles on one charge! Conquer the hills and beers of Asheville on an environmentally conscious e-bike with one of our friendly, experienced, and knowledgeable guides that will share a new and unique perspective in this mecca of the south.

Brewery Crawl:

Love beer? Love bikes? Then join us on this exciting trip highlighting the best craft beer Asheville has to offer. Launching in 2019:

Upper Green River Kayak Trip

Nothing combines all the best that Asheville has to offer for the thrill seeker than a paddling trip on the scenic and breathtaking Upper Green River. Known around the world for the exciting and consistent whitewater that it provides this area, we will paddle the Upper Green (not the infamous “Narrows” that hosts the Green River race). We will paddle the trip on safe and fun inflatable kayaks flowing over the amazing class II and III rapids through the pristine and remote Green River Game Lands. Our guides are all swift water rescue certified and safety is our highest priority. We will begin each trip with an in depth safety lesson and each trip is staffed by two of our highly qualified guides.

The Perfect Weekend Appalachian Trail Trip

When the days are short and cold in December, there’s nothing that we love to do more than to daydream about how to spend those long spring and summer weekends, and this is a trip that we have been daydreaming about for a long time. You will arrive in the picturesque mountain town of Hot Springs on Friday afternoon and check in to a historic b&b with your fellow travelers. We will then all meet for a drink and dinner and discuss the weekend to come. Here we will fully outfit you with our brand new backpacking equipment and show you everything that there is to know. The following morning we will rise early with the sun and get a delicious breakfast and coffee on our way out of town. We will then turn onto the famous Appalachian Trail that runs right through the town of Hot Springs and hike into the breathtaking Blue Ridge mountains towards the Tennessee border. A fresh and hot lunch will be prepared for you under the warm afternoon sun before making our final leg of the journey. As the afternoon gets long we will arrive in the valley where your camp will have been set up for you earlier in the day by one of our porters. Your guide will make you a gourmet dinner as you watch the stars slowly begin to appear. The rest of the evening will be spent by the warm fire, getting to know your fellow travelers. On our final day, we will reach the crescendo of our hike as we summit Max Patch, a gorgeous high alpine bald with 360 degree mountain views. Light snacks will be served here before descending to our transportation back to Hot Springs, where we will conclude the trip soaking our tired legs in a natural hot spring. Oh and one last thing, from the time you arrive in Hot Springs until we say our final goodbye, we cover everything, from your b&b, to all of your meals. This will be the best weekend of your year, by far.

Hike to a Secret Swimming Hole

We designed this trip all around what it means to live in the mountains during the summer: swimming holes and beer! We start this trip in the mid morning, after the day has had a chance to get nice and warm. We will drive out of town on the spectacular Blue Ridge Parkway to one of the most incredible swimming holes in the area. We will have a short hike to this top secret swimming hole that is known by few. The seclusion of this spot allows us plenty of quiet space to spread out and take in the cool mountain water under the hot sun. Once we have finished baking on the warm rocks along the bank, we will take the short and scenic hike back to our transportation. After winding through the Blue Ridge Parkway one last time, we will conclude at New Belgium Brewery, located right along the banks of the French Broad River where your first beer is on us!
