Job Title: Biltmore Guide

Job Description: Asheville Adventure Company is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking staff to join our crew as a Biltmore Guide and/or Boat Wrangler. Come and enjoy spending your day in a fun environment. You will be working outside along the French Broad River, while playing an essential part in ensuring all guests have an enjoyable and memorable outdoor adventure experience. 

Job Type: Seasonal (April – October); Part-time or Full-time options available

Scheduling: Weekend and holiday availability necessary. Holidays within our seasonal operation period include Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Flexible scheduling with advance notice.

Pay: Starting at $12-$15/hour depending on experience

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Safely drive with a trailer, load equipment and secure the trailer, unload the trailer and equipment 
  • Assist guests and their equipment on and off the water 
  • Manage and clean all equipment 
  • Assist guests and staff with trip preparation and clean up 
  • Manage equipment inventory, trip schedules, and guest count 
  • Maintain the grounds of the property including but not limited to: attending to guest questions, checking guests in with trips, ensure grounds remain neat, tidy, and sanitary 
  • Regularly inspect and report any vehicle operating or equipment deficiencies to Rentals Manager 

Preferred Experience: Experience driving a trailer is preferred. 

Training: Extensive orientation and training provided upon start of employment. 

Other Essential Job Requirements: 

  • Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others. This is a team job! 
  • Current Driver’s License 
  • Clean Driving Record 
  • Reliable Transportation 
  • Confident driving a trailer up to 50 miles per day with a variety of road and weather conditions 
  • Safety conscious by following all traffic laws and maintaining order
  • Ability to lift 30+ pounds on a daily and ongoing basis. 
  • Must be on time with reliable transportation 
  • Ability to identify needs, take action, and solve problems in a quick manner
  • Ability to work productively, professionally, and positively with guests and staff
  • Efficient time management, organizational, and multitasking skills
