Event Transportation Driver (CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement)

Job Description

Asheville Adventure Company is seeking a professional, friendly, and safety-focused Event Transportation Driver to join our Party Bus & Wedding Transportation team.

This is a part-time, seasonal position operating primarily September through May, with the opportunity to continue into the 2027 rafting season as a shuttle driver for those interested in additional seasonal work.

We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people, takes pride in providing exceptional customer service, and is committed to safe, reliable transportation.

Pay

Starting at $22/hour + tips

Compensation is based on experience.

Essential Job Duties

• Safely transport wedding parties, private groups, and party bus guests to and from scheduled destinations
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist guests with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain appropriate fuel levels
• Keep the bus clean, organized, and ready for each trip
• Report any mechanical or equipment issues promptly
• Operate 12- or 15-passenger vans as needed
• Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) Endorsement
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
• Clean driving record
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in changing traffic or weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds when assisting with equipment or guest needs
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable driving up to 100 miles per day in a variety of road and weather conditions
• Team-oriented with a strong commitment to safety
